Radiation Therapy
Radiation Therapy (IGRT):
Patients who require radiation therapy no longer have to leave Shiawassee County to seek advanced radiation oncology services. The Memorial Cancer Center, in affiliation with the Great Lakes Cancer Institute, offers Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT). This type of radiation therapy is recognized on one of the most advanced types of radiation therapy available.
To make an appointment for radiation therapy at the Owosso location of the Great Lakes Cancer Institute, call 989.729.4673 (HOPE).
Brachytherapy:
Memorial is proud to provide the latest in radiation seed implant technology known as Brachytherapy (brake-e-therapy). Memorial provides two types of Brachytherapy:
- For men with prostate cancer, prostate Brachytherapy, is a less invasive
