Memorial uses the latest digital mammography technology to
provide extremely high resolution images of internal breast
tissue. Memorial is also a certified softer mammogram provider and provides every woman with a MammoPad^®.

We also utilize an R2 Mammography CAD (Computer Aided Diagnosis) system to analyze all mammography images. The R2 system places a digital marker on suspicious areas of the image to alert the Radiologist during the interpretation phase. R2 acts as a second set of eyes and increases the detection rate of small lesions by the Radiologist by up to 13 percent.

A Mammogram is an X-ray test of the breasts (mammary glands) used to screen for breast problems, such as a lump.

Many small tumors can be seen on a mammogram before they can be felt by a woman or her health professional. Cancer is most easily treated and cured when it is discovered in an early stage.
